Position Description:

A Day in the Life of a Claims Processor:

-Adjudicating claims according to policy and contract requirements. You may need to request additional information as necessary by completing claim adjustments, referencing the benefits policy manual and other resources provided.
-Additional information may be requested by making phone calls, sending emails, or generating letters to our constituents.-
-Determining customer claims resolutions within prescribed guidelines for the purpose of meeting contract requirements.
-Researching, problem solving, and when necessary, referring complex issues to the appropriate department.
-Additionally, will have the opportunity to help by taking phone calls from our constituents, providing best in class, first call resolution customer service.
-Ongoing training on multiple software applications – there will always be something new and exciting to embrace and learn.
-Job performance is measured by meeting guaranteed claims turnaround time, individual productivity, quality, and accuracy of work completed.
-Continuously evaluating and identifying opportunities to drive process improvement in functions that impact the customers’ experience.

Position Type:   Full time

Pay:  $19+ per hour

Experience:   1-3 years

Experience in benefits claims/consumer driven health plans a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative environment.
Ability to work extended hours, if necessary, during peak season to accommodate higher seasonal call volume to maintain our service excellence. Peak season is generally from the end of November into February each year.
Ability to utilize various technology platforms for effective communication, problem solving, and relaying information to constituents.
Ability to understand and become knowledgeable of policies and procedures related to release of information and HIPAA regulations.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and virtual communication applications such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.
Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies as they are implemented in the workplace.

Must have a quiet and confidential workspace - we provide all of the work from home equipment!
High speed internet with the ability to hardwire via ethernet from cable modem to your PC. Internet connection with at least 25 mbps download and 10 mbps required. No WiFi or hotspots. Please run a speed test at https://www.speedtest.net/
Must reside in one of the following states: Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, Iowa or South Dakota. If you reside within an hour’s drive from Wichita, KS you will work our hybrid schedule, which is to collaborate in the office three days and two days at home weekly.
Regular and predictable attendance.

Education Level:   High school diploma; some college and/or dental industry experience highly preferred
