Position Description:
Legacy Brokers is searching for a full-time Director of Business Development, a new role in the company. This integral role on the team will drive revenue and assist in taking Legacy Brokers to the next level. The position has a hybrid schedule based out of our office in Lenexa, KS.
Position Summary
• Create and execute a sales plan and KPIs to meet, exceed, and forecast revenue targets.
• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing Agents to identify new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with the internal quoting team to ensure new business submissions are complete and accurate.
• Conduct regular follow-up with Agents to ensure they are satisfied with our service and to address any issues or concerns.
• Develop and provide a consultative approach to manage Agent services to include the following:
o Acquiring accurate and required information from Agents and the internal quoting teams to run a quote, submit a sold case for final underwriting approval, and/or group renewal.
o Generating spreadsheet analysis comparing plans and rates to specific cases.
o Make recommendations to Agents on which products to sell to their clients.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective Agents leading to new business.
• Attending industry events and conferences to generate new leads and stay current on market trends.
• Support marketing and administrative activities to include but not limited to social media, continuing education classes, and carrier product update videos.

Experience: 3 - 5 years
Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
