Primary Responsibilities • Underwriting o Process requests for pre-screened and/or underwritten proposals from the market using various underwriting systems (i.e. FormFire, EasyApps, Ease, GRX, paper applications, claims experience, etc) o Follow up on outstanding quotes with carriers/underwriters and obtaining any missing/requested information from agent and/or group o Keep all parties involved up to date with status o Log group information into agency management system and maintaining group case files • Submissions o Gather required carrier-specific sold case submission materials/documents o Review submitted materials for accuracy and completion, following up with agent and/or group on missing information/requirements o Process the submission materials with various carriers using their proprietary systems o Follow up on submitted cases and keep all parties involved up to date with status o Log group information into agency management system and maintaining group case files • Back up for processing of Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) via online quoting software and/or submission to specific carriers • Support Company on other administrative activities as needed
Payment / Status • Normal hours for the full-time position would be Monday through Friday between 8:30am and 4:30pm with ½ hour lunch • Remote 2 days per week (Labor Day through Memorial Day), 3 days per week (Memorial Day through Labor Day). Equipment provided.

Requirements / Experience • Experience in group health insurance industry preferred, but not required • Ideal for someone with prior experience writing group health insurance (as an agent or a carrier support rep) but not required • Current health license preferred, but not required • High organizational skills with attention to detail • Proven success in client support • PC skills, including Word and Excel, with the ability to quickly learn others as required • Experience and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and tasks efficiently in a deadline driven environment • Ability to work cross functionally across department lines to resolve issues • Effective analytical, oral, and written communication skills • Excellent inter-personal skills
Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent required. Degree preferred.
