Trends and Advances in Urgent Care

More than half of non-Medicare age insured Americans get their health benefit coverage through their employers. The estimated cost to employers in 2019 is expected to reach $15,000 per employee. Rapid change is taking place in healthcare delivery to continue to drive quality, access, and value. The urgent care field was born as a retail healthcare solution for patients of all ages.

CareNow Executive Director Joseph Palguta will discuss trends and advances in urgent care.

Joey Palguta, BSN, MSN is the Kansas City Market Administrator for CareNow Urgent Care. Joey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration from West Texas A&M University. He has 26 years of nursing experience caring for patients, including Emergency Room, Critical Care, Flight/Air Ambulance and was most recently was Director of Surgical Services at Centerpoint Medical Center. CareNow has eight urgent care locations across Kansas City that provide care for patients of all ages.

One hour of CE credit has been approved in Kansas and Missouri.

Only 2019 members are eligible to receive the CE credits.
