PATIENT-CENTERED MEDICAL HOMES.

THIS MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELED AND WILL BE RESCHEDULED.

Is the Patient-Centered Medical Home just the latest fad in health care delivery or will it bring meaningful, lasting and economically efficient change to our troubled health care system?

This presentation will help you understand what the Patient-Centered Medical Home is (and is not), why it has attracted so much attention from providers, employers, health plans and government agencies, and what is happening right here in Kansas City and the surrounding areas.

By the end of this presentation, you should be able to form your own opinion on the Patient-Centered Medical Home. Is it just a fad or a promising change?

Our speaker is KAREN JOHNSON. Karen has worked in a variety of roles throughout the health insurance and health care industries since 1984 – all of which have shaped her vision and fueled her passion to make health care work better for more people. Most of Karen’s work has focused on health care plans and programs purchased by employers for the benefit of their employees and families.

The registration fee is $35 for members and $45 for nonmembers.

One hour of CE credit is available for Kansas and Missouri. Only 2012 and 2013 members are eligible to receive the CE credits.
